About Janya
I’m a passionate piano teacher with 15 years of performance experience and over 5 years of teaching students of all ages and levels. My love for music started as a child, though at first, I nearly quit piano because my first teacher’s approach wasn’t right for me. Later, I found a teacher who made learning fun and inspiring, and that experience showed me how much the right guidance can change everything. It’s what inspired me to become a teacher myself, to help students discover that piano can be exciting, rewarding, and full of creativity.
I focus on building strong technical skills, musical understanding, and confident playing, while tailoring lessons to each student’s goals and pace. My goal is to help every student grow, progress, and fall in love with music along the way.

I provide structured, personalized piano and music theory lessons tailored to each student’s goals, learning style, and level. In class we cover performance quality, understanding of a structure of each song/composition played, music theory and ear training. I provide note sheets of modern songs to learn, as well as classical, jazz and contemporary compositions for better performance development. In each class we spend time for music theory with books and tasks provided.
