About Carla
Hi, I’m Carla! I’m a Registered Nurse with almost 10 years of nursing experience and have worked in Emergency Nursing since 2020. I’ve also completed postgraduate studies in Critical Care Nursing, giving me a strong background in caring for acutely unwell and deteriorating patients.
Throughout my career, I’ve developed a real interest in supporting students and junior nurses as they build their knowledge and clinical confidence. I know nursing study can sometimes feel overwhelming, particularly when trying to connect everything you learn at university with what actually happens at the bedside.
I want to teach because I enjoy breaking down complex concepts into practical, easy-to-understand information and helping those “lightbulb moments” happen. My approach is friendly, supportive and judgment-free. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions, strengthening their clinical reasoning and developing the confidence to apply what they’ve learned in real clinical situations.

My lessons are supportive, practical and tailored to your individual learning needs. As an experienced Registered Nurse working in Emergency Nursing with postgraduate studies in Critical Care Nursing, I focus on helping students understand why things happen rather than simply memorizing information.
I can help with clinical reasoning, pathophysiology, recognizing the deteriorating patient, emergency and critical care concepts, pharmacology, case studies, OSCE preparation and exam revision.
Lessons are adapted to your level and learning style, using real-world clinical examples to help connect university theory with nursing practice. Whether you’re struggling with a particular topic, preparing for an exam or simply want to feel more confident applying your knowledge on placement, we’ll focus on the areas where you need the most support.
My goal is to make complex nursing concepts easier to understand and help you develop the confidence to think clinically and apply your knowledge in practice.
