About Shan

Hello! I’m a native Mandarin Chinese speaker and a professional educator with approximately 16 years of teaching experience in China and the United States.

I earned my bachelor’s degree from Jiangnan University in China and have also pursued further professional studies at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in Australia and University College London (UCL) in the UK.

For the past seven years, I have worked as a Mandarin immersion teacher in American schools, helping students from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds develop their language skills and confidence.

I believe that learning Chinese should be enjoyable, engaging, and meaningful. My teaching approach combines structured instruction, interactive activities, real-life conversations, and personalized learning strategies.

Whether you’re a child learning Chinese for the first time, a teenager seeking academic support, or an adult interested in Mandarin for travel, work, or personal enrichment, I can tailor lessons to your individual needs and goals.

Ni Hao! I’m a native Mandarin Chinese speaker and an experienced educator with approximately 16 years of teaching experience in China and the United States.

I currently work as a full-time Mandarin Chinese immersion teacher in the U.S. and have extensive experience helping students build confidence in learning Chinese.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s age, language level, interests, and learning goals. Whether you’re a complete beginner, a student looking for academic support, or an adult interested in conversational Mandarin, I’m here to help!
