About YUKI

Hi, I’m Yukie from Japan!
I’ve studied abroad in Canada, New Zealand, Australia and the Philippines, and I’m currently based in West Melbourne.
I mostly teach Japanese in person, but I also have solid experience with online lessons, so you’re completely welcome to learn remotely too!

I have over three years of teaching experience across Japan, Canada, New Zealand and Australia, including working at an international school in Japan.
I’ve worked in both education and hospitality, and I love creating fun, relaxed and confidence-building lessons.
At the moment, I teach more than six students regularly across different ages and levels, and I always make sure each lesson is enjoyable and tailored to individual goals ;)

I’m also a big fan of anime and manga, so we can enjoy cultural conversations too (^ ^)/

About the lesson

My lessons are ideal for learners who want vocabulary building, natural conversation practice and supportive homework & quizzes to help develop confidence and long-term progress!

I tailor every lesson to each student’s interests, so you will build your own personalised vocabulary list based only on the words you actually use. This becomes your own practical vocabulary book that grows naturally over time :)

We always review previous content, and I provide homework when needed to support your progress. If you enjoy music, anime or other interests, we can also learn directly from those topics to make lessons even more enjoyable and relevant.

You will not only remember words, but actually use them in real conversation!
