About Lena
I’m a piano tutor with 2 years of experience helping students succeed in conservatory-level jazz programs, including Berklee and Juilliard. I hold a DMA in Piano Performance, and I’m committed to helping students unlock their full creative and technical potential. My lessons focus on advanced jazz repertoire, improvisation, and expressive musicianship.
I guide students through chord voicings, improvisational techniques, scales, and rhythmic phrasing. We explore jazz standards, contemporary pieces, and original works to develop versatility. Each lesson is personalized, combining disciplined practice with imaginative exploration. I encourage expressive playing, confident improvisation, and musical storytelling.
I also emphasize sight-reading, ensemble collaboration, and performance preparation. Lessons integrate technical skill with artistic expression. I take pride in helping students discover their unique voice at the piano. Together, we develop technique, creativity, and confidence for professional-level jazz performance.

I teach piano with a focus on pop music and practical application for real-life playing. Students learn chord voicings, pop piano techniques, and how to play by ear. We work on arranging contemporary songs to make them playable, expressive, and unique.
Lessons combine theory, improvisation, and hands-on practice. Students explore dynamics, rhythm, and creative voicing to make songs sound full. I encourage them to add personal style and musical expression to each piece.
I tailor lessons to each student’s interests and goals, helping them progress step by step. We celebrate achievements while continuously introducing new challenges. Lessons build confidence, creativity, and independence in playing.
My aim is to make pop piano accessible, enjoyable, and expressive. Together, we unlock the secrets of pop piano and bring favorite songs to life.
