About the lesson

As a tutor, my approach is centered around building a strong conceptual foundation and connecting theory to real-world applications. With a Master’s in Engineering (MEng) and 4 years of tutoring experience, I focus on simplifying complex topics in math and data science using intuitive explanations, visual aids, and hands-on problem solving. I tailor each session to the student’s goals, pace, and learning style to maximize engagement and retention. A typical lesson with me begins by reviewing previous concepts to reinforce learning, followed by a focused deep-dive into the current topic using examples relevant to the student’s coursework or interests. We then work through problems together, gradually increasing in difficulty to build confidence and critical thinking skills. Homework support and test preparation are also integrated as needed. What sets me apart is my ability to bridge academic knowledge with real-world context—drawing from experience in data analysis, coding (Python, SQL), and engineering problem-solving.
