About Edward

Hello! I’m a recent graduate from The University of Bristol with a First Class Honours Degree in Mathematics now working in asset management. I have really enjoyed tutoring a range of clients over the last three years; from pre-GCSE to University Level.

I am a very understanding and patient person. I always like to take the time to make sure the person that I’m teaching has fully understood me every step of the problem whilst making the lesson fun and engaging.

Whether your issue in maths is; "slight slip ups", "exam preparation" or "content teaching" I can tailor a lesson to fit your exact needs.

I check my emails and messages on this site regularly. I'm very flexible, so I'm happy for you to suggest a lesson time outside of the allotted times on the website!

I have tutored many students during my time at university, all of whom achieved their target grades. Please take a look at the reviews on the site. If you'd like any further clarification about any of my previous experience, please do send me a message!

I have also worked for an educational charity where I helped to set up the home tutoring side of the charity. I was responsible for hiring and training new tutors and regularly reviewing every student-tutor relationship with the parents.

Edward taught maths to both my daughters, who, although capable, had been put off maths by previous poor/judgmental teaching. Both girls lacked confidence in the subject and "hated maths". From the first lesson, Edward brought a positive approach and won the girls over, making them feel it was within their reach and fascinating rather than scary.
