About Lauren

I graduated from City, University of London with a 2:1 in BSc Mathematics and Finance. With 7 years of experience teaching students from SATs to A Level, I offer both in-person and online lessons. I specialise in differentiating lessons based on each student's unique needs and abilities. My adaptable approach ensures that we can dive deep into prepared questions or explore new ones as needed. Weekly homework assignments are crucial for assessing understanding and are emailed after each session. I expect these to be completed and returned for review before the next lesson. I prioritise the welfare of my students, aiming to break down any emotional barriers they have with Mathematics. This approach has consistently boosted my students' confidence and improved their grades by at least three levels. I build strong, lasting relationships with my students, often supporting them throughout their entire study of Mathematics.

How I’ll Help You: Personalised Learning Plans: I will assess your specific needs and tailor each session to suit you. I source or create lesson materials that best support your learning style and goals. Exam Technique Improvement: We'll focus on answering exam questions, honing your skills by tackling questions sorted by topic or grade difficulty. Weekly Homework Assignments: To reinforce your understanding, I provide weekly homework. If a topic isn't clear, I'll find another way to explain it until it clicks! 11+ Mathematics Coaching: We'll cover the key topics featured in 11+ Mathematics papers and practice test questions together to ensure you're fully prepared. Success Stories: Dyslexia Achievement: Tutored a student with Dyslexia from KS3, helping her achieve a grade 4 in GCSE Mathematics. 11+ Exam Success: Coached a student for the 11+ exams, focusing on Mathematics. Through practice and technique refinement, my student secured a scholarship at a top private school.
