About Luke

I am a maths teacher trainee at a mainstream secondary school. Personally, I like to help people with their coursework and homework even at school. Many of my classmates encouraged me to become a teacher in the future, I was glad to hear that! I graduated with a biomedical science degree and am interested in maths as it is a very popular subject in schools. During university studying, I took my spare time in teaching Mandarin (Chinese language) in a weekend language school. Moreover, I have organised a summer camp with others in the summer holiday for those who want to learn Art and language. After graduation, I was working as a maths specialist teaching assistant and helped many secondary school students daily with their study and support with their learning. Those experiences and training had really helped me to develop my skills and knowledge in teaching. This year, I have got a position as a teacher trainee in maths and hopefully in the future I can help more students with their learning. Thank you for listening! About the lesson

1st lesson: I will introduce you to the topics and content in GCSE Maths or others. Ask you about your current grade and what you want to achieve as your target. In addition, a personal tracking sheet will be designed and it's only for you for your Maths learning. Regular lesson: We are going to pick up a topic or two from the weak topic of yours and consistently work through them. I will guide and instruct each step to help you improve your grade. Many students and parents are satisfied with my teaching approach and the way I taught. Advice: If you are preparing for your GCSE or A level. Please sign up for a lesson as soon as possible. It will reduce your stress level and we will have enough time to prepare. Location for our lesson: Personally, I have been using a local library or coffee shop with GCSE students. The place is a public study area and there are many facilities to be used. Sometimes, the change of environment can have a huge impact on learning!

Luke is an extremely trustworthy tutor as he does nothing but look for the best in all the students he tutors. He also works hard to print as many maths practise papers as he can to ensure that all his students pass. I went from getting mainly grade 3s in maths to getting 4s and nearly 5s. I absolutely would recommend Luke as tutor.

Luke's academic ability allowed him to show us his extraordinary mathematical thinking skills and the ability to share these difficult concepts with students. He is able to use his enthusiasm and passion for mathematics and project these ideas in an engaging manner to his students. He is able to create appropriate learning materials for students equivalent to KS3 and KS4 in the form of question sheets or useful information guides.
In terms of personal qualities, Luke is always on time, on task and pro-active with his work. He is an extremely hard-working individual with lots of discipline and passion for the subject.
