About Harry

Hi, I’m Harry.

I’m a GCSE Maths tutor with 3 years’ experience supporting students through CoachBright. I’ve worked with students at different confidence levels, including those who feel unsure, overwhelmed or behind in maths and need patient, clear explanations.

I graduated with a DipHE in Environmental Science with distinction, developing strong mathematical, analytical and problem-solving skills. I now work in Technology Services for an Investment Bank, where accuracy, logic and clear thinking are part of my day-to-day work. I also hold a certification in Data Analysis using Python, where I applied mathematics to analyse data and build machine learning algorithms.

My tutoring style is calm, supportive and practical. I know how frustrating maths can feel when it does not click straight away. I was once in that position myself, until a maths tutor helped me build the confidence to try, make mistakes and keep going until things started to make sense.

That experience shapes how I teach. I break topics down clearly, encourage questions, and help students build confidence one step at a time. My aim is to create a relaxed but focused environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes, improving steadily and preparing properly for their GCSE exams.

About the lesson

I take a calm and practical approach to GCSE Maths tutoring, focusing on building confidence as well as understanding. I like to break topics down clearly, work through examples step by step, then help students practise until the method starts to feel natural.

Lessons are usually 1 hour and are tailored to the student’s needs, whether that means revising difficult topics, preparing for exams, working through homework, or practising past paper questions.

My lessons are aimed at GCSE Maths students, including those studying Foundation or Higher, who want clearer explanations, more confidence, and steady progress.
