About Raghma

Hello, and welcome!

My name is Raghma, and I am a dedicated Mathematics tutor for Grades 1–9 with a passion for helping learners understand and enjoy Math. I am currently studying towards a Bachelor of Education degree, which allows me to combine modern teaching methods with practical tutoring experience to support each learner's success.

I believe that every child is capable of excelling in Mathematics with the right guidance, patience, and encouragement. My lessons are personalized to suit each student's learning style, helping them build confidence, strengthen their understanding, and improve their results.

Whether your child needs help with homework, preparing for tests and exams, catching up on challenging topics, or getting ahead, I provide a supportive and engaging learning environment where questions are always welcome and mistakes are seen as opportunities to learn.

I offer lessons both online and in person (for students in Cape Town). My goal is not only to help learners achieve better marks but also to develop problem-solving skills and a positive attitude towards Mathematics that will benefit them throughout their education.

About the lesson

I am a dedicated and patient Mathematics tutor for Grades 1–9 who is passionate about helping learners develop confidence and achieve their academic goals. Every student learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to suit their individual learning style, pace, and needs.

My teaching approach focuses on building a strong understanding of mathematical concepts rather than memorizing procedures. I break down difficult topics into simple, easy-to-follow steps, using clear explanations, worked examples, and plenty of guided practice. My goal is to help learners gain the skills and confidence to solve problems independently.

I teach Mathematics in English, creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as they learn.

A typical lesson begins with a review of previous work, followed by clear explanations of new concepts. We then work through examples together before completing practice questions to reinforce understanding. I also provide exam and test preparation, homework assistance, revision sessions, and strategies to improve problem-solving skills and mathematical thinking.

My lessons are suitable for learners in Grades 1–9, whether they need help catching up, improving their marks, preparing for assessments, or simply want to strengthen their understanding of Mathematics. I believe every learner can succeed with the right guidance, patience, and encouragement, and I am committed to helping each student reach their full potential.
