About Nicholas
I am a civil engineer and have used a wide range of mathematics in my academic and professional career.
I am currently teaching mathematics and design and technology in a Hunter Valley school, and am currently teaching students in years 7-12.
I enjoy playing basketball and tennis, going to the beach, and spending time with my dog.

I am a teacher in a public school in the Hunter Valley, and offer
mathematics tutoring to school and TAFE students.
I enjoy using digital technologies to explain mathematical concepts and to facilitate deep understanding of content through visualizing.
I attempt to embed real-world examples and problems in lessons.
I differentiate my lessons based on the current understanding of the student.
I help students improve their critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and build student self-confidence through allowing students to experience success with mathematics.
Most importantly, I attempt to build a fun and interesting learning environment which encourages questions, debate and discussion.
