About Cassidy

I currently work full time as a data scientist and tutor math for fun on the side. I have a degree from North Carolina State University in mathematics with a minor in computer programming. I have been tutoring for over 6 years. I have tutored students online and in person in everything from middle school pre-algebra to college level calculus. I have tutored through various companies, online platforms, and independently.

About the lesson

Math is my passion and I like to try to pass that on to my students. I try to find out what the student likes and dislikes about math, how they best learn, and their goals. From there I customize the learning plan to each student. For all lessons I focus on understanding the process to solve problems so it can be applied to a broader context. My goal is to get students past the areas they are struggling with so that their studying outside of tutoring is more effective.
