About Matt
I have been an educational professional for over fifteen years as a teacher, administrator, enrichment coordinator, activity moderator, soccer coach and tutor. To say I am passionate about education is an understatement. firmly believe that all students can understand any concept and solve any challenging problem. I am committed to working with your student to achieve academic success! When I am not tutoring, I love to read, hike, camp, travel, and run. It is my firm belief that all students can understand any concept and solve any challenging problem. I like to break down mathematical problems to basic skills in order to apply each to a complete plan for the solution. My lessons often include a review of previously learned content in order to reinforce necessary skills. I provide assistance with homework and class assignments, as well as study preparation for upcoming assessments. My lessons focus on guided and independent problem solving. I am an experienced high school and middle school mathematics and science teacher, but I have tutored students in middle school, high school, and college.
