About Sotia

Hello! I'm Dr. Sotia Zenios, a PhD holder in Cancer Research and Immunology. Following successful completion of my Doctorate, I am currently immersed in the clinical world, as a fourth year medical student at the University of Manchester. My academic journey began with a solid foundation, earning an Honours degree in Biomedical Sciences from The University of Edinburgh. Throughout my undergraduate studies, I developed a keen interest in Biomedical Sciences, Physiology, Immunology and Genetics, laying the groundwork for my further exploration in the field. What truly sets my educational journey apart is my commitment to bridging the gap between academia and real-world applications. I am not just a student of medicine; I am actively contributing to the advancements in cancer research, aiming to make a tangible impact on the lives of those affected by this disease. As a tutor, I bring this rich background and a deep understanding of medical sciences to help students navigate the intricacies of their coursework. I believe in creating a dynamic and interactive learning environment tailored to individual learning styles. Whether you are grappling with the fundamentals of anatomy, tackling complex immunology concepts, or seeking guidance in biomedical sciences, I am here to provide comprehensive support. About the lesson

I have always found tutoring particularly rewarding. Having worked with students of all age groups and abilities I have learnt to adapt each lesson to my students' needs. I also have extensive experience working with children with special education needs and can accommodate my teaching style to meet my students' and their parents' needs. Most of my experience comes from working with students aged between 13-20, teaching IGCSE and A level but I have also taught students undertaking IB, Scottish Highers, and GCSE. I also have experience with younger children in a different teaching capacity as I have taught children between the ages of 3-12 how to swim and have been teaching martial arts to all age groups for the past 15 years. As I have been in higher education for the past 10 years now, I am highly experienced with entrance exams, the interview process, and anything else a student may need to pursue the career of their dreams! I have gone through numerous application processes for my Undergraduate degree, medical school (I was accepted in both countries I applied to - the UK and the Netherlands-) and my Doctorate. I am, therefore, highly experienced with all the necessary steps required to get into the University and pursue the degree of your choice. I also offer personal statement guidance as well as interview preparation! I always like to start with a conversation with any potential students so I can better understand what your goals are and figure out the best way to help you! I am extremely passionate about life-long learning as well as teaching which is why I'm pursuing a PhD as well as studying medicine. My fees are determined by what I teach:) I always offer free 15-minute initial video consultations to ensure I am the best fit for what you are looking for and to explain my teaching style (lessons are tailored to each student's ability and learning needs).
GCSE - 40/hour
A level - 50/hour
Degree level - Prices start at 65/hour
Dissertation proofreading- Prices start at 65/hour.
