About Caroline

am an experienced economist and professional tutor with over 10 years of experience working in economics, finance and quantitative analysis, alongside extensive teaching and tutoring experience. I specialise in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics and related quantitative subjects, supporting students from secondary school through to university and professional level. My professional experience gives me a practical perspective that allows me to connect academic concepts to real-world economic and financial issues. I have a Master's degree in Economics and a strong background in macroeconomics, finance, statistics, econometrics and applied economic analysis. I have taught students with different levels of ability and learning goals, from building strong foundations to preparing for demanding examinations and advanced university courses. My approach is personalised, structured and focused on genuine understanding. I first identify your learning objectives and areas that need improvement, then tailor each lesson and learning plan to help you make measurable progress. My aim is not simply to help you complete a topic, but to give you the confidence and skills to tackle questions independently.

About the lesson

I teach online via Zoom, Teams and google meet, providing personalised one-to-one lessons designed around your specific goals, level and learning needs. Each lesson is structured to make complex topics clear and manageable. We begin by identifying what you already understand and where you are struggling, before working through concepts step by step using clear explanations, examples and practical questions. Depending on your goals, lessons can include topic revision, worked examples, problem-solving, exam-style questions, exam technique and targeted practice. I also provide guidance on how to approach challenging questions and develop the analytical skills needed to achieve stronger results. Whether you are preparing for GCSE, A-level, university examinations or professional qualifications, I adapt my teaching style to suit you. My priority is to ensure that you leave each lesson with a clearer understanding, greater confidence and practical skills you can apply independently.
