About Luisa

I have been tutoring for the past five years, mainly in Spanish and English, with some Italian and French too. As well as private tutoring for both adults and children, I have worked as a school language assistant in Spain and France and therefore have broad experience in different teaching approaches. I have tutored complete beginners to advanced learners and am confident to support students at any level with different goals and needs. As well as tutoring,I have 12 years' experience learning languages, which gives me a thorough understanding of the needs of language learners and effective ways to approach the process.

About the lesson

My tutoring approach is highly adaptable to the individual needs and interests of each student and prioritises enjoyment of the learning process. I decide together with the student which topics they want to cover and in what way, then I create activities that exercise all linguistic abilities (reading, writing, speaking and listening) based on these topics. I am also happy to work from textbook programmes, but always make sure that each lesson includes a variety of activities. I'm a friendly person and enjoy engaging with my students - languages are all about communication so I find it's important to develop a good rapport.

A great enthusiastic student with a consistent approach and really positive attitude. Conversational ability is good and grasp of grammar concepts, including more complex constructions, is sound. Good areas to work on are use of tenses and pronunciation.

We met in a tea ceremony through a friend and I thought she could be a good teacher to practice English with. Her English is very clear and easy to understand. She is the best! Very patient with a great attitude to her students, prepares her classes according to the centre of interests of the person. It's also fun!
