About Sanjay

I know the difference that a good teacher can make firsthand, and there are far too many people who just don't care. I do this because I genuinely enjoy it, and I want to help people beat the Leaving Cert game.

About the lesson

As a grinds tutor specialising in Maths, Biology, and Chemistry, I take a clear, structured, and student-focused approach to ensure each student not only understands the material but can apply it confidently under exam conditions.

Teaching Methodology: I break down complex concepts into manageable steps, using visual aids, real-life examples, and exam-style questions. I tailor lessons to each student's pace and goals, with a focus on mastering key exam techniques and avoiding common pitfalls. I also provide recordings of me completing exam questions as well as custom made worksheets, notes and quizzes.

Lesson Duration: Most sessions are 60 minutes, but longer sessions can be arranged depending on the student’s needs and attention span.

Experience: As a current medical student, I bring both academic rigour and firsthand experience of studying under pressure. I’ve helped students achieve significant grade improvements and build lasting confidence in their subjects. I have been through the system and I want to tell people what I wished I knew when I sat the Leaving Cert.

Who It's For: I tutor Junior and Leaving Certificate students of all levels, from those struggling to keep up to high-performers aiming for H1s.

Perfect! I started HPAT prep with Sanjay and honestly it made a big difference for me. He really understands how the exam works and breaks things down in a way that actually makes sense. For Sections 1 and 3 especially, he showed me how to approach questions properly instead of just guessing or overthinking,.

He’s very patient and easy to talk to, which made the lessons feel comfortable and not stressful. If I didn’t understand something, he’d go over it again in a different way until it clicked. The feedback he gives is also really helpful and specific.

I’d definitely recommend him to anyone preparing for the HPAT.
