About Pete

I have a PhD from Oxford, five years of tutoring experience and four years of experience teaching at undergraduate and master's level.

I graduated with the top First in my undergraduate class at LSE before getting a Distinction in my Master's at Oxford. I received my PhD in history from Oxford in 2018. I have taught tutorials and seminars at Oxford, LSE and Tsinghua University, China's leading university. I have won multiple awards for the quality of my teaching.

I have more than four years of extensive tutoring experience and have worked for a number of prestigious agencies, teaching history to students from GCSE up to Master's level, as well as helping with Oxford admissions (with a high success ratio). I have hundreds of hours of experience and a wide knowledge of historical subject areas. I have worked with students across a large number of exam boards and qualifications.

I've also acted as a volunteer tutor, advising on university admissions and mentoring students at undergraduate, A-level and GCSE.

I enjoy working with students of all abilities and have proven success helping students achieve the highest grades, whether that be the A-level grades they need for university, a First class degree or a place at a highly selective university.

Negotiable discounts available on my hourly rate for sessions longer than an hour and on particular subjects.
