About Amy
I majored in Mathematics and completed my PhD at UNSW. I currently work as a Senior Lecturer at UNSW. I am enthusiastic and genuinely passionate about helping students develop their mathematical knowledge and confidence. I enjoy finding ways to make challenging concepts clear and engaging, and I take pride in seeing students progress, become more independent and achieve their academic goals.

I have over 20 years of experience tutoring students in mathematics. I focus on helping students understand why mathematical concepts work, rather than simply memorizing formulas or procedures. By developing strong conceptual understanding, problem-solving skills and confidence, I help students apply their knowledge to unfamiliar questions and become more independent learners.
I tutor students at all levels of mathematics, including Year 11 and 12 Mathematics Extension 1 and Extension 2 (3 and 4 unit mathematics). I also teach Year 5 and 6 primary students preparing for selective school examinations.
