About Evelyn

I have been teaching Maths since 2002 in outstanding state, private, and international schools, helping students of all abilities achieve excellent results. With over 20 years of experience teaching at both Primary and Secondary levels, I have prepared countless students for Independent School entrance exams, GCSE, International GCSE, and iGCSE.

As a former Head of Maths and an examiner for Maths entry exams, I have a deep understanding of what it takes to succeed. I specialise in identifying and closing learning gaps, helping students build confidence, accelerate their progress, and reach their full potential. There is nothing more rewarding to me than seeing a student grow in both ability and self-belief.

Now a full-time Maths tutor, I offer personalised support for students from Key Stage 1-3 up to GCSE level, with a focus on exam preparation for 7+, 8+, 10+, 11+, and GCSE exams. I also create tailored learning programmes for home-educated students, ensuring they receive structured yet engaging Maths education.

My teaching style is warm, patient, and encouraging. I believe that confidence is key to success, and I strive to create a supportive environment where students feel safe to learn, make mistakes, and truly engage with Maths. I absolutely love working one-on-one with students, nurturing their curiosity and helping them discover their own strengths.

Teaching is more than just a job for me—it’s my passion. I am deeply invested in my students' education, confidence, and overall well-being. Seeing their progress, both academically and personally, is what drives me every day.
