About Katrina

Hi, I’m Katrina – a passionate and dedicated tutor and first-year medical student at the University of St Andrews.

I achieved A grades in A-level Biology, Chemistry and Maths, and over the past two years I have gained extensive tutoring experience, helping GCSE students build their confidence and achieve top grades in Maths and Science.

I understand that subjects like Maths, Biology and Chemistry can sometimes feel challenging or overwhelming. My aim is to make them more accessible, engaging and manageable, while creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes.

Whether you’re looking to strengthen your foundations, build confidence, prepare for exams or work towards the highest possible grades, I tailor each lesson to the individual student’s needs, goals and learning style.

I offer both online and in-person lessons in St Andrews and Dundee, and I’m happy to work with students of different abilities and starting points.

Outside of my studies, I love being outdoors – whether that’s running, hiking or simply getting some fresh air. I believe it’s one of the best ways to clear your mind and recharge!

About the lesson

- My lessons are aimed at GCSE students or AS level students. I can also tutor pupils for SATS.
- During my time in college, I gained valuable experience tutoring GCSE students in Biology, Chemistry, and Maths, helping them improve their understanding and confidence in these subjects.
-A typical lesson can range from 1-2 hours, either in your home or online
- I teach using the specification for your subject and specific exam questions using revision techniques such as pomodoro and active recall!
