About Willow

With over ten years of tutoring experience, I’ve had the privilege of working with a diverse range of students, from young learners to adults, helping them achieve their personal goals in French. I specialise in teaching GCSE and A-level French, but I also enjoy helping beginners learn French for personal enjoyment or career advancement. I have experience teaching at various levels and have worked with students preparing for exams as well as those seeking to develop their conversational skills. During my time in Zurich, I taught French and English to adults at various companies, which gave me the opportunity to adapt my teaching to different learning styles and needs. Many of my students have achieved great results, including one who recently received the highest grade possible in her GCSE French exam and another who exceeded expectations for her French A-levels. I’m now working with her younger brother to help him achieve similar success. My teaching philosophy centres around building confidence in the language, focusing on both the structure and beauty of French. I offer flexible teaching methods and adapt to each student's individual learning pace and style. I’m an experienced French tutor with a deep passion for language and teaching. With over 10 years of tutoring experience, I’ve worked with students of all ages, from young children to adults, helping them achieve their academic and language learning goals. I hold a Master's degree in English, French, and Comparative Literature from Zurich University, and I’ve developed a thorough understanding of the intricacies of the French language. Whether you’re preparing for GCSEs, A-levels, or learning French for fun, I tailor each lesson to meet your needs. My lessons focus on building strong communication skills in both spoken and written French, with an emphasis on grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation. I believe in creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel confident to practise and improve. I provide structured lessons with clear goals, but I also encourage students to explore and enjoy the language. I’ve helped numerous students excel in their exams, and I am committed to making sure you achieve your personal goals, whether it’s acing your exams or becoming conversational in French. Online tutoring is also available via Skype for flexible learning.
