About Willa
I am a French tutor with more than 5 years of experience, holding a Master of Arts in French Language and Literature with a focus on Francophone studies. I enjoy working with complete beginners and helping them build a strong foundation. My teaching style is patient, friendly, and often includes a touch of humor. I want you to feel relaxed while learning.
I design lessons around hobbies and creative interests. From knitting and gardening to painting and crafting, your passions become part of the learning process. I use project-based learning to make lessons interactive. You don’t just study French, you use it.
Visual aids play an important role in my teaching. I also use simple narratives to explain grammar and vocabulary in a clear way. This helps you understand and remember without stress. Learning becomes natural and enjoyable.

I use current French media like news articles, podcasts, and videos to make lessons lively and relevant. This helps students connect language with what is happening in the world. Lessons feel practical and engaging.
We work on reading and understanding news while building vocabulary and grammar naturally. I guide students in expressing their opinions clearly and with confidence. You will learn how to agree, disagree, and explain your thoughts in simple French. Respectful conversation is always encouraged.
I also help students analyze media and understand different perspectives. This builds critical thinking along with language skills. We explore how ideas are shared in French-speaking cultures. It makes learning deeper and more interesting.
I support learners who want to grow in new environments or professional settings. Lessons are focused, motivating, and useful. We read, discuss, and learn together. My goal is to help you use French with confidence every day.
