About Kathy
Having the good fortune to be able to live and work in France, I am very familiar with its culture, art, and history. As a non-native French speaker I initially experienced the same frustrations and challenges of learning the language. These experiences have made me an exceptionally effective and patient tutor. I have helped students of French improve their vocabulary, grammar, and writing skills for over 20 years. I tailor lessons to the individual student's needs and goals. If a student is enthusiastic about French culture, I add relevant materials to encourage their interest.

My teaching method encourages the student to interact during our sessions in order to come to a better understanding of the material and remember what they have learned. I assess a student's grasp of new material by finding out if they can explain it back to me at the end of our session.
