I'm an experienced English as a Second Language (ESL) tutor with a strong background in journalism, public relations, and over three years of teaching experience. My journey has taken me from Brazil to Canada, where I’ve deepened my skills in language teaching, communication, and public speaking. I’m passionate about helping students achieve their English goals, whether they’re starting from scratch or refining advanced skills.

About the lesson

I bring a personalized, empathetic approach to teaching English to students of all levels. My lessons are tailored for learners of all ages, especially children and Portuguese-speaking immigrants. With a strong understanding of neurodiversity, I am highly adaptable and experienced in working with students who have learning difficulties, such as dyslexia or ADHD. I am fluent in Portuguese and offer a supportive environment where learners can grow at their own pace.

My methodology combines practical language skills with personalized study techniques to build confidence and fluency. Lessons incorporate listening, speaking, reading, and writing exercises, with a focus on clear communication and comprehension. I use visual aids, interactive activities, and contextual examples to enhance learning, particularly for students with varied learning needs.

Each session is customized to meet the unique needs of the student. For beginners, I start with foundational vocabulary and conversation skills, using relatable, everyday contexts. Intermediate and advanced students focus on more complex structures, including grammar refinement, reading comprehension, and speaking fluency. I also incorporate study skills, test-taking strategies, and communication exercises, which are particularly helpful for standardized exams and academic needs.
