About Devyn
I worked in Japan for six months during my study abroad program as an ESL language teacher. I've been self-learning Japanese for two years and reached a conversational level recently. Language learning is a passion of mine and so is teaching! I've worked as a tutor in high school for my local elementary school, and also taught Sunday School at church for 3 years. I like learning about my students, their learning styles and accommodating to their needs in the classroom.

My language teaching style involves Immersion in the language, learning about new concepts, grammar points, and vocab in the target language, This strategy for language learning is best suited for upper beginner to intermediate level and beyond. if you are just starting on your English learning journey, immersion may not be the best for you.
In a lesson with me we will have a conversation in your target language, correcting mistakes as they arise and setting up an independent study routine.
