About Justin

Over the course of my extensive teaching career, I have had the privilege of guiding countless students towards achieving their language learning goals. As a professional educator, I take great care in maintaining the highest standards and ensuring that my students receive the best possible language education. About the lesson

As a highly experienced tutor with 17 years of full-time university teaching and as the owner of a private school for young children, my approach to teaching is centered around eliciting responses and active engagement from students, ensuring that they speak more than the teacher. I firmly believe in tailoring my lessons to meet individual needs and goals while fostering a supportive learning environment.

My teaching method focuses on a combination of practical techniques, such as role-playing, group discussions, and real-world scenario simulations, along with structured lessons to build a solid foundation in grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation. This approach ensures that students develop a strong understanding of the language and are equipped to communicate effectively in various situations.

A typical lesson plan consists of three key stages: (1) introduction and warm-up, where I present the topic and engage students with a conversation or an activity; (2) presentation and practice, which involves the introduction of new language concepts, structures, or vocabulary, followed by guided practice through interactive activities; and (3) production, where students have the opportunity to apply their newly acquired skills in more independent and creative tasks, such as presentations, debates, or writing exercises.

What sets me apart as a tutor is my ability to connect with students of various backgrounds, ages, and skill levels. My extensive experience in both university teaching and running a private school for young children has enabled me to develop a versatile and adaptable teaching style, which allows me to effectively cater to the needs of each student.
