About Courtney
I love English, from its grammar to its poetry, and I’m excited to share that with my students. I always aim to be calm, warm and enthusiastic during lessons, while being efficient. I also have high expectations of my students; insofar as they try their best, I am open to teaching students of mixed abilities.
I am a qualified tutor, with a degree in English Literature, and a minor in Linguistics, alongside almost a decade of tutoring experience from kindergarten to HSC students. I also have experience teaching intermediate and advanced ESL.
As an ex-HSC student, I studied Extension 2 English, receiving 100% for my major work, and Band 6 results for English Advanced. I was also a state ranker.

Having had Courtney teach my daughter over several years, and knowing her for even longer, I can’t recommend her enough! Not only is she such a warm, caring, and genuine person, she is a very knowledgeable and professional teacher who goes above and beyond for her students. She is organised and always provides well-planned and structured lessons that have helped my daughter grow in so many ways. Thank you Courtney x
Courtney is definitely the best English tutor I have ever had. She makes Year 12 English fun and has helped grow my confidence in writing so much. I used to overcomplicate everything but now I never overthink in English. Thank you Courtney for all of your help and if anyone is looking for a tutor in English I would certainly recommend.
