About Jiya

Hi, I’m Jiya — a dedicated and approachable English tutor with over three years of experience helping students achieve their academic goals. I take pride in creating a calm, supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making progress at their own pace. With a strong academic background and a genuine passion for teaching, I’ve helped learners from primary level to A-Level improve their writing, reading, grammar, and communication skills. My teaching style is flexible and student-focused, meaning I adapt each lesson to suit individual needs, whether you're preparing for exams or simply building confidence in English. Professionalism, patience, and progress are at the heart of every lesson I teach. You can expect clear guidance, consistent support, and a learning experience tailored just for you.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is patient, supportive, and fully tailored to each student’s unique needs. I believe in building a strong foundation through clear explanations, interactive exercises, and regular feedback. Whether it's grammar, essay writing, reading comprehension, or speaking, I focus on helping students gain confidence and develop lasting skills—not just memorise content. A typical lesson with me lasts around 60 minutes, but I’m flexible depending on the student’s goals and attention span. I like to keep lessons engaging with a mix of discussion, practice activities, and real-world examples to make English feel relevant and enjoyable. I’m Jiya, an experienced English tutor with over 3 years of one-on-one and small group teaching experience. I’ve worked with a wide range of students, from primary school children to GCSE and A-Level learners, helping them improve their grades and communication skills. My lessons are perfect for students aged 8 and above—whether you're preparing for exams, improving basic skills, or looking to boost your confidence in English. I'm here to support every step of your learning journey.
