About Jess
Hi my name is Jess and I would like to tell you a little bit about myself and my background. I've been a tutor for many years, but only recently moved to offering remote sessions only. My journey began with psychology tutoring, as I did this for my degree, but the more experience I gained, the more I wanted to work with younger students, to help them develop their English and Mathematics skills. I have found this incredibly gratifying and have adopted a way of teaching that fits more with 4-11 year olds. I am empathic, understanding and patient. No question is too big or small, and there is certainly no thing as a silly one. I work with my students to establish confidence and a healthy and happy attitude towards learning.

I can offer anywhere from 30-90 mins, depending on level and need. I love to watch my students develop and believe in positive reinforcement; it seems to help my students feel at ease and know that there isn't anything we can't face together, as a team! I like to mostly adopt a gamification approach when it comes to teaching, meaning that it can be fun to learn! I can also work closely with my students to prepare for their exams; we can go through past papers, or look at exam techniques. I can't wait to work with you!
