About Katie

I'm an experienced, London-based tutor specialising in English language and literature. However, I am also able to tutor in subjects such as history, French, philosophy, sewing, art, and art history. I have tutored many children both in the UK and from other countries, and have a proven track record of helping students achieve their goals.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts (English Literature) and a Master of Arts in Cultural Heritage Management from the Russell Group-affiliated University of York, as well as language teaching certifications including the TEFL and CELTA. I have been tutoring for around five years now.

Though I primarily tutor children, I am happy to tutor adult students too. I welcome anyone seeking support for English as a second language, GCSEs, A-Levels, and individuals preparing for or studying at university.

About the lesson

Lessons are tailored to every student. They are structured and prepared around your needs, whether that is improving your conversation skills or preparing for an exam (GCSEs, A-Levels, TOEFL). I teach all age groups at all levels. I am passionate and dedicated to every one of my students, always making sure lessons are enjoyable and fun. I use a variety of media such as videos, articles, recordings, and books. All lessons are online and are as long as you require! I am available Monday to Friday. The first lesson is always free and that includes a 30 minute assessment, in which we take the time to determine your level and identify which areas to focus on. From there we can build a bespoke learning structure specifically for your needs and schedule.
