About Laura
I love teaching and want to support more students to reach their full potential. I identify areas for development and adapt the learning to ensure that any gaps in knowledge or misconceptions are addressed. One of my strengths is teaching students exam technique so that they can apply their knowledge independently and be fully prepared for assessments.

I have been teaching English for the last 15 years and have a proven track record of supporting students to achieve outstanding results.
I have excellent knowledge of the AQA English Language and English Literature GCSE spec having also been an examiner for English Language. With this in mind, I am able to adapt lessons to specific needs and ensure that progression is the basis for each lesson.
Feedback is incredibly important and I ensure it is specific, targeted and actionable.
I also teach AQA English Literature Spec B at A Level and use this knowledge to stretch students preparing for their GCSEs.
