About Peace

My name is Peace, and I am an experienced educator, currently in the final year of my Professional Doctorate in Systemic Practice. I hold a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, and I’ve taught and supported students across both the UK and the USA in a wide range of educational settings. My international experience has shaped a flexible, culturally sensitive teaching style that responds to the unique needs of every learner. Over the past decade, I’ve worked as a university lecturer, school educator, and private tutor, specializing in English, Psychology, Counseling, and academic writing. I’ve supported students through GCSEs, A-Levels, undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, including those preparing for IELTS, proofreading dissertations, or building confidence in academic English. My lessons are known for being structured yet warm, blending deep subject knowledge with a personalized, empowering approach. I also have extensive experience working with students who have dyslexia and other specific learning needs, and I use inclusive, multi-sensory approaches that support progress while maintaining self-esteem and motivation. About the lesson

I believe that every learner is unique, not just in ability, but in how they process, engage, and grow. That’s why I don’t start with a pre-set curriculum. Instead, I begin by getting to know you, your learning style, strengths, challenges, and personal or academic goals. I use this understanding to co-create a lesson plan that is flexible, responsive, and empowering. Each lesson is carefully structured yet adaptable, typically including: A warm check-in to establish focus and confidence Clear learning objectives that reflect your goals Interactive, engaging content using methods that suit how you learn best (visual, verbal, practical, or reflective) Real-life applications of skills, from structured essay practice to casual conversation or exam simulations Ongoing feedback and reflection so you always know what’s working and what’s improving. My lessons are not about ticking boxes, they are about building your confidence, tracking real progress, and helping you develop a deeper connection to the subject. Whether we’re working on grammar, fluency, critical thinking, academic writing, or presentation skills, I hold space for curiosity, creativity, and consistent growth. For students with learning differences such as dyslexia, I integrate multi-sensory and supportive strategies that enhance comprehension and reduce frustration. For academic learners, I bring structure and clarity. And for those who are anxious or returning to study later in life, I offer patience, encouragement, and a pace that suits you. Together, we create a learning journey that feels personal, respectful, and empowering.
