About Michel
I am a BA Humanities graduate from Stellenboch University with majors in Afrikaans and Philosophy. I started private tutoring during my second year and have been a tutor for both individuals and groups for 5 years now. In the last two years I picked up two TEFL/ESOL qualifications and have tutored adults and children from Asia in English.

I am a strong believer in imbibing students with the courage to fail and learn from the experience. While we all aim to succeed, failure is a valuable step towards learning a new skill or a language. My focus in language learning is on fluency and understanding than the very strict grammar rules peddled by mainstream school systems. The grammar will come as the understanding is expanded and fluency is achieved, but personally I believe the all too common reverse method is inefficient.
