About Farai
I completed my Masters in Chemical Engineering at the University of Surrey and have been working in Industry as an engineer in various positions over the past 8 years. I also have a wide range of hobbies, such as cricket, golf and motorsport, however, they do not hinder me from achieving high academic and professional results.
My purpose is to help my students efficiently and effectively learn and understand STEM subjects whilst enjoying the process.

I enjoy teaching and have been tutoring for 6+ years, I teach Physics, Biology, Chemistry and Maths. My approach is to cultivate a teaching environment of patience and honesty that puts an emphasis on encouraging students to continuously apply themselves, and nurture their natural interests in the chosen subject(s).
Students should also be prepared to be challenged in an aim to help them achieve their goals.
I am very experienced in boosting exam grades and there are numerous successful cases that I was able to help motivate students to achieve higher.
Case studies:
-Helped a student achieve an A from a predicted C in A-Level Maths within 4 months.
-Helped a student achieve A from a predicted C in GCSE Science in 6 months
- Helped a student achieve a near full mark in A-level statistics in 10 months allowing them entry in the University of Birmingham to study Computer Science.
So far, I have helped over 15 students to achieve their goals and it gives great pleasure to continue helping more students achieve their goals.

I have been tutoring for six years and find the process of improving a student’s understanding very rewarding. Over this period I have helped approximately 15 students gain entry to higher education, that are currently studying STEM subjects at top universities such as University of birmingham, Lancaster University, Loughborough University and many more. The vast majority have obtained A*s, As, and Bs at GCSE or A-Level.
I tutor at all stages from primary to A-Level and focus on a wholesome learning experience. The lessons are bespoke and structured to accommodate for the student's needs dependent on their level and age.
I always invite my students to ask questions and attempt problems by themselves, before explaining a solution, and subsequently work through similar problems with them step by step until they have grasped the content. The main emphasis in my lessons is to develop sound conceptual understanding, followed by fluency in answering practical questions, thus targeting excellent performance in exams.
