About Kate

Hello, everyone! My name is Kate, and I am excited to be your online tutor. I have been teaching English and math for 12 years and have had the pleasure of working with elementary students of all ages.
Teaching is my passion, and I love nothing more than helping students enjoy new ideas and gain knowledge and confidence!
In my classes, I like to use a variety of teaching methods, including interactive presentations, group discussions, and hands-on activities. Everyone has a unique learning style, and it’s my job to adapt my teaching approach to meet your needs and help you develop a love for learning that will last a lifetime.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy reading and music, and I’m always looking for new ways to learn and grow. I’m excited to get to know all of you and work together to help you achieve academic success!

About the lesson

As a tutor, my primary goal is to help students learn and understand the material in a way that is engaging and effective. I believe that every student has unique learning needs and paths to success, so I tailor my teaching methodology and techniques to each individual student. Some of the strategies I use include student-centered, collaborative learning with a goal of developing critical thinking skills, and differentiated instruction.

A typical lesson plan with me would involve a review of the previous material, an introduction to new material, and a guided practice session. I also encourage students to ask questions and provide feedback throughout the lesson to ensure that they are understanding the material.

What sets me apart as a tutor is my ability to connect with students and create a comfortable learning environment. I am patient, empathetic, and passionate about teaching, which helps me build strong relationships with my students. I also have a strong background in the subject matter I teach, which allows me to provide students with a deep understanding of the material.

My lessons are for elementary students of all levels. I specialize in math, English, and history, but I am also able to teach other subjects upon request. I am available to help students with homework, test preparation, and general academic support.
