About Konye

I enjoy working with children and helping them discover that Math can be interesting, enjoyable, and achievable.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, a Postgraduate Diploma in Education, and a TEFL certification. I have several years of teaching experience and currently teach primary school children within the British curriculum. I have worked with children at different stages of their learning and understand the importance of building strong foundations from an early age.

Teaching is something I genuinely enjoy. I love seeing that moment when a child understands something they once found challenging, and I enjoy helping children become more confident in their abilities. For me, it is rewarding to see a learner progress from needing support to approaching Math with greater confidence and independence.

I believe every child has the ability to learn Math when concepts are explained clearly and in a way that makes sense to them. I aim to create lessons that are engaging, encouraging, and suited to each child’s individual learning needs.

About the lesson

Learning Math doesn’t have to be stressful; it can be practical, engaging, and enjoyable. My lessons are tailored to each child’s learning needs, whether they want to strengthen their Math foundation, improve their problem-solving skills, build confidence with numbers, or develop a better understanding of their schoolwork.

As a qualified teacher with experience teaching children in the primary years, I understand that every child learns differently. I use clear explanations, interactive activities, mental Math practice, real-life examples, and guided problem-solving to make concepts easier to understand and apply.

My lessons cover key areas of Elementary Math, including number and place value, addition and subtraction, multiplication and division, fractions, decimals, measurement, geometry, data handling, patterns, and problem-solving.

I create a positive and encouraging learning environment where children feel comfortable asking questions, sharing their ideas, exploring different ways to solve problems, and learning from their experiences.

My goal is simple: to help children build strong Math foundations, become more confident learners, and enjoy Math.

Details

Online one-to-one Elementary Math lessons are 10,000 Naira per hour. Each lesson is personalized to the child’s learning needs, level and goals. Lessons include clear explanations, interactive activities, mental Math practice, problem-solving and guided practice to help children strengthen their Math skills and build confidence.
