About Julianna

I’m Julianna, a certified teacher and lifelong educator with a passion for helping students discover what they’re capable of. Over the past 10+ years, I’ve taught in classrooms, worked one-on-one with learners of all ages, and developed creative programs that make learning feel meaningful and engaging. I hold a Bachelor of Education and am one final submission away from completing my Master of Professional Education, with a focus on equity and inclusive teaching practices. My experience spans literacy and math support, enrichment for advanced learners, and tailored instruction for students with learning differences or those who need an extra boost of confidence. Parents and students describe me as patient, adaptable, and encouraging. I believe every learner has unique strengths, and my role is to uncover them while building the skills and strategies they need to succeed. Whether we’re tackling tricky math concepts, developing strong reading habits, or preparing for a big test, I make sure lessons are both effective and enjoyable. When I’m not teaching, you’ll find me running my small family homestead, reading with my kids, or creating hands-on learning activities inspired by the world around us.

About the lesson

As a certified teacher with over a decade of classroom and tutoring experience, I specialize in creating lessons that are both structured and engaging. My approach blends clear, step-by-step instruction with creative, hands-on activities that help students connect new concepts to real-life experiences.

A typical session begins with a quick review to reinforce prior learning, followed by a focused lesson on the day’s topic—whether that’s strengthening literacy skills, building math confidence, or preparing for assessments. I tailor each plan to the student’s needs, incorporating games, storytelling, and visual aids for younger learners, and strategy-based skill building for older students.

What sets me apart is my ability to quickly identify gaps in understanding and adapt lessons on the spot. I’m patient, encouraging, and skilled at breaking down complex concepts into simple, manageable steps. My goal is to build not just skills, but confidence and independence.

I work with students from early primary through middle school, as well as learners who need extra support due to learning differences, gaps from missed schooling, or a lack of confidence in core subjects. Every lesson is designed to meet the learner where they are—and help them take the next step forward.
