About Saskia

Hello everyone! I’m Saskia, from Norwich.

I graduated from the University of Sheffield with a First in Biochemistry in 2021. I have a huge passion for science and maths, and really enjoy sharing this passion with others!

I am a qualified educator, with years of experience in a range of situations. I regularly mentored University students in University level biochemistry. I have tutored highschool students in both Maths and Biology, and I have also worked as a swimming coach and school helper for many years.

About the lesson

I am a strong advocate for relating topics to students interests. I think complex topics can be made far more interesting by relating them to students passions. I also believe in learning to answer questions to the mark scheme, in order to ensure getting a high grade.

Lessons will be engaging, fun and flexible. I try to adjust to students needs and wants, and make sure the lessons are as interesting as possible!

I am a visual learner, so I often like to break down complex concepts with diagrams and stories. I think this is far more memorable and fun too! I am available to tutor Maths for GCSE students, with exam board specific questions.

After tutoring with me, I hope you will feel more excited about the topics and more confident in your abilty to get good grades!

Mirian was really quick at picking up new information and applying it to some rather challenging questions. I was very impressed. She is also lovely, open to discussion, and really easy to get along with. My recommendation for next time is to practice the Homework we set, and to focus on minuses when doing questions- they can be trixy! It was a joy to help you, looking forward to next lesson!
