About Isabel

• I bring both academic excellence and extensive tutoring experience to my sessions. I am a graduate from the University of Oxford, where I studied PPE at The Queen’s College.
• I achieved the Michel Junior Scholarship in recognition of my outstanding academic performance in preliminary exams.
• Achieved 4 A*s at A-Level (in Economics, History, Mathematics and Further Mathematics) and 11 A*s at IGCSE, I have a solid foundation in high-level academic achievement, which I am passionate about helping others attain.
• Specialise in the CAIE examination board but can tailor to any GCSE/ A-level examination board.
• Over the past three years, I have tutored more than 50 students in Economics and History A-levels, IGCSE Geography, and provided mentoring for Oxbridge applications, including preparation for the TSA and Oxbridge interview coaching.
• Many of my students have received offers for interviews and demonstrated significant improvement in exam scores, outcomes I am deeply committed to supporting.
• As President of the Oxford University Malaysia Club (OUMC), I have hosted multiple panels and summer schools to assist students in their application to Oxford.
• Conducted TSA specialised workshops to three international schools in Kuala Lumpur.

About the lesson

• My teaching approach is grounded in an exam-focused methodology, designed to empower students with the skills and confidence they need to excel under exam conditions. • Recognizing that each student has unique strengths and challenges, I make it a priority to tailor my teaching to individual needs, identifying specific areas for improvement and crafting personalized lesson plans.
• By focusing on essential exam techniques, I help students understand what examiners are looking for and share practical strategies for efficient time management, which is often a key differentiator in high-stakes exams.
• In addition, I believe in fostering a comprehensive understanding of each subject's syllabus to ensure that students not only perform well but also develop a deeper appreciation for the material.
• Continuous feedback is a core aspect of my approach: I offer constructive critiques that help students create effective revision strategies and build a lasting, positive relationship with learning.

Lessons will be conducted online and typically between 1-2 hours. I focus on tutoring students who are working towards their GCSEs and pre-university/ A-levels students who are preparing for oxbridge applications.

Ultimately, I tailor each lesson to what best matches my students needs!
