About Lauren
I am a Qualified Teacher specialising in Early Years, Forest School Leader, Nature Lover and Project Co-creator. I am entering my 12th year of teaching and have worked in mainstream schools as well as Reggio Emilia inspired and Montessori schools. I have been involved in various educational projects including setting up two small independent schools. You’ll find me in the Forest with my sausage dog, on the beach or practising yoga in my spare time.

All learning begins with an idea, notion or question… Do trees communicate? How do planets stay up in space? What is monster language? I currently teach children through the Reggio Emilia Inspired Approach embedded in Projects where children’s ideas, thoughts and opinions are listened to, upheld and taken into account to help co-create the learning. This creates purposeful ‘in the moment’ learning opportunities. This approach to learning can be intertwined with any area of the curriculum and is a fun and engaging way to learn. Arts, science, humanities, reading, number play… what is your interest? What questions about the world do you have? Let’s see where it’ll take us!
