About Kate

I am passionate about my subjects, English and Drama, and I enjoy learning about my students and their future aspirations. I have a daughter who recently completed an MA, so I fully understand the demands of a person who is studying hard!

I have many varied interests, including going to the cinema and theatre, visiting art galleries and museums; walking in the countryside; travelling and experiencing other cultures and keeping fit by swimming and going to the gym. I am currently only offering lessons online.

I teach a wide range of students, including ESL students of all ages from Russia. The main focus is on listening skills - improving their spoken English and building confidence. I also tutor students at KS3 English – having worked with one student for over a year, she has moved up two classes at school. I design and deliver drama-based training seminars to corporate clients.

About the lesson

Hello - good to meet you. I am a native speaker of English from the United Kingdom. I enjoy tutoring because it enables me to work fun and creatively. Approachable and friendly, I work with all ages and abilities!

I teach English conversation, accent and pronunciation coaching and practical communication skills.

My hourly charges range from £27 to £40 per hour. There is a reduced rate for pre-paid blocks of 5 lessons.

I teach via Zoom - a popular and successful teaching, learning, and coaching medium. It has proved very effective, and students seem to enjoy using it.
