About Dawn

With 27 years of classroom experience, I bring a depth of expertise that goes far beyond homework help. I am a certified Elementary Education teacher with additional certifications in Special Education and Reading — a combination that allows me to diagnose learning gaps, differentiate instruction, and accelerate student growth with precision.
For over 17 years, I taught 3rd grade, the pivotal year when students transition from learning to read to reading to learn, and from basic math facts to deeper problem-solving. I have also taught 2nd grade and served in departmentalized upper elementary settings teaching 5th and 6th grade math. This full-spectrum experience gives me a unique understanding of how foundational skills connect to upper-level expectations.
