About Simon
Digital tools offer so much potential for the production process, but I know from experience that it can be very frustrating when the creative flow is blocked because the software just doesn't seem to want to do what you need it to.
I can help.
I have worked for more than 20 years as a professional animator, art director and designer, as well as working in illustration and publishing. I have also worked in post production and visual effects. All this gives me a very rounded knowledge of the creative industry and the software.
I have previously taught accredited courses in Photoshop, After Effects and Digital Media at Lighthouse in Brighton, UK for adult learners. I was also a film and video tutor for the Pauline Quirke Academy in Plymouth for a time, teaching film and video to school age students.

I can offer a good grounding in the professional software used in the creative industries as well as advise on design and techniques. All from a home studio on professional equipment in a rural village near Ballerup.
My teaching is adaptable to the student's needs.
I can offer a modular course over 3-4 two hour lessons taking them through the basics up to a working grasp of the software.
I can offer tailored sessions to work through specific areas of the software or design approaches for students who already understand the basics of the software.
Students will also gain a better grasp of English in the context of the software, which can be of great benefit for the potential to work internationally.
