About Shruti

I am an experienced educator with 12 years of teaching experience in Business, Commerce, Economics and Finance, including experience with students following CBSE, IGCSE, ICSE, Edexcel and international curricula.

I hold an MBA in Finance and Operations Management and am a certified NLP Practitioner. I have also worked as a Senior Grades teacher in a school environment, giving me experience beyond one-to-one tutoring.

My approach combines subject expertise with an understanding of how students learn. I focus on building conceptual clarity, confidence and independent thinking rather than encouraging rote memorization.

I enjoy working with students from different backgrounds and adapting my teaching to their learning needs, academic goals and examination requirements.

About the lesson

I believe a subject is easier to learn when students understand the reasoning behind a concept instead of memorizing definitions and answers. With 12 years of teaching experience, I work with school and senior secondary students across IB, CBSE, IGCSE and A-Level curricula.

My classes combine concept explanation, real-world examples, questioning, discussion, exam-style practice and feedback. I first identify what the student understands and where the gaps are, then structure each lesson around a clear learning objective.

A typical class includes concept building, guided application, practice questions and a short recap or retrieval activity. For exam preparation, we also work on answer structure, evaluation, diagrams, time management and common mistakes.

My approach is personalized, structured and student-centered. I aim not only to help students improve their marks, but also to develop independent thinking and confidence in the subject.

Classes are suitable for school students, senior secondary students and learners preparing for international or Indian board examinations.

My hourly fee is US$25 for one-to-one online classes.

The fee may vary depending on the student's level, curriculum, examination requirements and the depth of preparation required. I offer personalized lessons for IB, IGCSE, A-Level and CBSE students, with the class plan adapted to the student's academic goals.

For regular students, lesson frequency and longer-term preparation can be discussed based on individual requirements.
