About Tianjing
I hold bachelor's and master's degrees from China, with teaching qualification and Mandarin proficiency certificates. I have been engaged in design and teaching activities at a university for many years. After immigrating to Canada, I also studied at BCIT for a period. As a parent of two children, I have been volunteering at the elementary school, gaining a deep understanding of children's psychological activities. In September of this year, I will pursue a degree as a teacher's assistant. Before that, I am eager to spend more time with children and contribute to their development during this period.

As a tutor, my approach revolves around creating an engaging and student-centered learning environment. Integrating real-life scenarios and cultural insights, I aim to make the learning experience both enjoyable and relevant. Varied resources, including multimedia, authentic texts, and interactive activities, are incorporated to cater to different learning styles.
Typical Lesson Plan:
Introduction (5 mins): Establishing the lesson's objectives and reviewing the previous session.
Concept Presentation (15 mins): Introducing new topics or language elements through discussion, examples, and multimedia resources.
Interactive Activities (20 mins): Engaging students in interactive exercises, role plays, or group discussions to reinforce learning.
Application (15 mins): Providing opportunities for practical application through exercises, games, or real-life scenarios.
Feedback and Discussion (10 mins): Reviewing student performance, addressing questions, and encouraging open discussion.
Homework Assignment (5 mins): Assigning tasks or exercises to consolidate learning.
My lessons are designed for individuals of various proficiency levels, ranging from beginners to advanced learners. Whether you are a student seeking to improve academic performance, a professional aiming to enhance business communication skills, or someone interested in learning Chinese for personal enrichment, my teaching approach is flexible to accommodate diverse learning goals.
