About Rosh

Hi, I’m Rosh, an enthusiastic chess player with 20+ years of experience in playing chess. I’ve been playing since I was 7 years old, and I have captained my team at school, university, and mercantile levels. I’ve also worked as an arbiter for 3 years with younger age groups.

I’m a Software Engineer by profession, and I’ve always loved bringing my strategic thinking and analytical skills into the game. I am a FIDE-rated chess player, a member of the multi-time National Champion school team (2004–2013), a representative of the University Chess team at international tournaments (2017–2022), and captain of the Women’s Champion team at the mercantile level (2023–2025).

I love working with little ones and sharing my knowledge with them!

About the lesson

I have experience specially working with kids (ages 4–15) during my coaching classes and as a tournament arbiter in younger age groups.
Holds a valid WWCC Victoria.
Customised schedules for each student according to their needs.
Interactive sessions with puzzles and games.
A friendly, stress-free approach.
No prior knowledge required.
Classes are conducted in English.

Perfect! Rosh has been tutoring our 5.5 year old, and we are very happy. She communicates well with juniors, adapts the learning methods accordingly to the student's level, and is good with providing detailed feedback to parents after sessions. Rosh also has training in software engineering which is a huge advantage, and she has been teaching ScratchJr. I'm glad we have been working with Rosh!
