About Tom
My teaching style is friendly, supportive and positive. I like my lessons to be informative but also enjoyable as well!
I am experienced in preparing students for GCSE and A-level Business and Economics courses, all exam boards, and have been teaching for 10 years.
I recently won a prestigious "Teacher of the Year" award through an educational charity, which was an amazing experience. I currently work at one of the top achieving schools in the UK, ranked in the Top 5 for A-level and GCSE results as of Summer 2018.
I am adept at teaching students of all abilities, from those looking for additional work to stretch them beyond the syllabus, to those students who may be struggling in Economics and are looking to feel confident in what they are learning in class.
My lessons are generally a combination of discussions, thorough explanations of theory and opportunities for students to practice what they have learnt.

I have been teaching Maths, Business and Economics for 11 years at some of the highest rated schools in London. I am currently teaching Years 7-9 mathematics at secondary school, as well as A-level Economics.
I have tutored 10 students during this time, helping each one to meet, and often surpass, the goals they set themselves. I enjoy helping students to flourish and grow in confidence.

Details
My flat fee is £30 per hour session. However, there may be a slight extra cost if travelling into zone 1-2. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice are charged at full price.
