About Abbey

My name is Abbey, a professional photographer and experienced educator with a passion for helping others develop their creative skills. I have been dedicated to photography since my teenage years, earning a degree in Fashion Image Making and Styling before working as a commercial photographer in Hong Kong. With years of industry experience, I now run a successful wedding photography business and specialise in newborn photography. As a BTEC Extended Diploma Photography Course Leader, I have a deep understanding of both technical and creative aspects of photography and how to support students in achieving their goals—whether that’s improving their skills, building a portfolio, or achieving top grades in GCSE/BTEC coursework. I pride myself on delivering professional, engaging, and supportive lessons tailored to each student’s needs, ensuring they gain confidence behind the camera and in post-production. Whether you're a beginner, aspiring professional, or student working towards higher grades, I’m here to guide you every step of the way.

About the lesson

I take a practical, student-focused approach, tailoring lessons to individual goals. I combine hands-on practice with theory, covering camera techniques, composition, editing (Lightroom/Photoshop), and social media for photographers. Lessons typically last 1 hour and are suitable for beginners to advanced learners, including hobbyists, aspiring professionals, and GCSE/BTEC students aiming to achieve higher grades. As a BTEC Extended Diploma Photography Course Leader and professional photographer, I bring both industry experience and teaching expertise to my sessions. I provide structured, engaging lessons that help students build strong portfolios, refine technical skills, and meet assessment criteria for top grades.
